SCRF to change status
The board of the State Committee for Telecommunications has started a discussion on the change of the status of the State Committee for Radio Frequencies. Currently SCRF has the status of an interagency committee, comprising 27 representatives of different ministries. The suggestion being discussed now calls for the commission to be overseen by one of the ministers and to be upgraded from a coordinating body to a managing agency. A final decision is to be made in October or November.
