Sale of 20 percent of Lensviaz announced illegal
The Federal Arbitrary Court of the North-West region has found that the sale of a 20 percent share of Lensviaz was illegal. In March of 1998 the Arbitrary Court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region decreed to collect 1,168,840 roubles from the Property Fund of the Leningrad region, a co-owner of Lensviaz, in favor of the investment company Romex-Invest. As a result, 20 percent of Lensviaz shares were arrested and sold.
