Xerox introduces new service policy

Xerox has announced changes to its service policy for small office equipment - personal laser and ink-jet printers, network printers, digital and analog copiers and multifunction devices. The new policy calls for warranty and post-warranty support to be provided on two levels - through authorized service centers and authorized service agents. So far the vendor has authorized 11 service centers, including R-Style Service (Moscow); P+P (St. Petersburg); Computers and Peripherals, Copy Company (Minsk); Abak (Kazan); UNPTs-NT (Ivanovo); RKT (Krasnoyarsk); Siline (Irkutsk); Langern (Vladivostok); Corp-LNd (Tyumen); Service-Center (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk). Also, the authorization of Kazakhstan-based companies is to be carried out soon. The network of authorized service agents which is expected to comprise some 100 companies, is not formed yet. The changes in service policy also concern payment for warranty support. Xerox plans to introduce payment for each warranty service provided as opposed to the currently used advanced fixed payment for future warranty services.
